Capabilities
Whether building a rifle for competition, tactical use or hunting, most
rifles will have features generally limited to the benchrest rifles but suitable for
your applications.
- Superior Accuracy
Squared and trued actions, squared and trued bolts, recoil lugs (if
used) are ground within .0000050 inch flatness and parallelism.Receiver
bases can be squared and centered and opened up to an 8-40 thread for
superior strength.
Bolt handles can be secured to bolt bodies on Remington bolts with three
screws for tactical rifles.
Oversize Badger Ordnance knobs installed, if desired by the customer.
Oversized recoil lugs by Badger Ordnance or Holland. Sako style or AR15
extractors can be installed also.
- Superior Barrel
Generally, Kodiak Precision uses Schneider barrels in most cases,
but
other premier grade barrel manufacturers are available upon request.
Match Grade minimum chamber specifications are used and custom ground
reamers are available per customers specifications.
As with all rifle work, concentricity is a major factor and run out on land
diameters is kept at .0001 inch for cutting the chamber and crowns.
Muzzle brakes are produced by Kodiak Precision
specifically for each
individual application and/or rifle.
- Stocks
Kodiak Precision recommends McMillan Fiberglass Stocks. Other
brands such as Accuracy International, HS Precision, and Rimrock Stock by
Borden are available upon request.
All stocks are pillar bedded and free floated for each rifle.
Optics
We are specialist in installing Swarovski and Kahles Optics. Other
brands, such as Horus Vision Targeting Systems and Nightforce Precision Optics,
are available.
Aimpoint Comp ML2 and M2 w/night vision capability are the most popular red
dot for tactical applications.
Talley, Leupold, and Badger Ordnance rings and bases are recommended by
Kodiak Precision.
AR15 & AR10
These rifles can be built to customer specifications with the same care and
precision as the above mentioned rifles.
Test Firing
All rifles are test fired with VihtaVuori powders and if applicable Lapua
components.
